Important: Registrants who have terminated their certification status with CTTAM are no longer eligible for the same group programs. Participation in some programs can continue although usually at higher rates.

CTTAM has partnered with the Alberta Retired Teachers’ Association to offer retired CTTAM registrants a retiree benefits plan. To participate in the ARTA Retiree Benefits Plan, you must be a retired registrant of CTTAM age 55 or older, a permanent resident of Canada and are enrolled in all provincial or territorial health care plans for which you are eligible.

Enrollment
You are automatically eligible to enroll in an Extended Health Plan with emergency travel (Total or Ultimate Health plans) if ARTA receives your application within 60 days of termination from an employer-sponsored group benefits plan (either as an employee or eligible dependent). After 60 days, applications require medical evidence of insurability and you may be denied coverage. Your ARTA Retiree Benefits Plan coverage starts the day after you current coverage terminates. Please note that CTTAM retired registrants must purchase an ARTA Associate membership to participate in the retired registrant benefit plans. If you have additional questions about open enrollment, ARTA, or health plans being offered to CTTAM retired registrants, contact Jennifer Hope at jhope@arta.net. An Associate ARTA membership is required.
