CTTAM is a self-regulatory organization under the Certified Applied Science Technologists Act of Manitoba. Our Code of Ethics requires members to “Keep informed to maintain proficiency and competence, to advance the body of knowledge within their discipline and further opportunities for the professional development of associates.”
Our members are required to have a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program. Having a CPD program shows that you are committed to serving the public and the profession by maintaining and developing your proficiency and competence. This program is intended to be flexible and to allow you to determine and select your own learning needs. We regulate our members in order to comply with the bylaws and regulations that require a mandatory CPD Program.
Please note: Mandatory reporting of CPD activities began in 2021. Activities such as peer training, volunteering, employer provided training, reading technical manuals, all qualify for CPD credits as well as attending in person, online or viewing the our annual general meeting recorded video.
