Purposes for Collection, Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

The purpose for which CTTAM collects personal information for such purposes as:

  • administering Canadian Chamber membership and providing member services;
  • registering for CTTAM events, for example the Annual General Meeting;
  • processing and administering the above or other purposes as necessary.

CTTAM safeguards all information provided to the Association by applicants and members. This information is confidential except as required by law.

Academic documents and other information provided during the application process (eg. educational documents, employment history, references) will be used for internal administrative purposes and assessment of qualifications.

Member Services

CTTAM may collect employee contact information from its members in order to:

  • send out newsletters and other relevant information
  • inform members of upcoming CTTAM events or training sessions
  • send out invoices and otherwise administer Canadian Chamber membership

CTTAM does not sell or trade the mailing list of registrants. Information on members services that are offered by third parties is only sent from CTTAM approved affinity partners and only with prior permission from CTTAM and is done under terms of strict confidentiality.

Limited member information is posted to the CTTAM web site and is available through the certified member search. The publication of at least this minimum of information for all certified members is a requirement of the Certified Applied Science Technologists Act of Manitoba.

As a member you may choose to opt out of receiving information from CTTAM, except that information directly relating to your membership. Examples of exceptions would be your Annual Invoice, Notice of the Annual General Meeting or other information directly relating to your certification and responsibilities under the Certified Applied Science Technologists Act of Manitoba. Opting out may require you to proactively visit the CTTAM web site for other information concerning Association business.
