Subject Matter Experts for File Review

Subject Matter Experts conduct applicant file reviews and academic assessments. As a Subject Matter Expert you would review files electronically, which provides flexibility to volunteer without relinquishing time spent at work. Disciplines of interest include: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Architectural, Chemical, Survey & Geomatics.

Volunteers must be a C.E.T. member in good standing with a minimum of five years of professional experience. 

Technology Accreditation Canada Auditors

Technology Accreditation Canada is looking for regulated members to perform audits to determine whether educational programs in various provinces meet the profession’s approved standards and criteria. National Accreditation by TAC is performed by volunteer auditors to determine whether programs meet the profession’s approved standards and criteria.

Volunteer auditors must be a C.E.T. member with at least two years’ experience within their discipline.

Board of Examiners

The Board of Examiners reviews qualification of C.Tech. and C.E.T. applicants to determine certification eligibility.  Board of Examiners meetings are held at the CTTAM office on Wendnesdays, every second calendar month.  The Board of Examiners do not meeting during summer months (June, July and August).

Volunteers must be a C.E.T. member in good standing and will be asked to submit a resume and bio to be considered for positions on this Board. 

Leadership & Development Committee

  • Committee members provide young leaders (members under the age of 35) with a greater understanding of the engineering technology profession and CTTAM's role in it.
  • Provide networking opportunities and venues to further develop their skills. 
  • Prepare surveys to CTTAM's members regarding seminar/workshop topics that would be of interest to the membership.
  • Attend student orientations/events at local technical college events to promote CTTAM by illustrating how the engineering technology profession has helped them.

  • Awards Committee
