Reclassify as a technologist
Write and pass our exam and you could become a C.E.T.
Our technical exam is designed to test the skill and knowledge of engineering and applied science technicians who wish to earn the certified technologist title without having to take additional courses or training.
You must be certified as a certified technician, C.Tech., and a registrant in good standing to qualify to write our technical exam. If a passing grade is received, you can reclass to a certified technologist C.E.T., by submitting a reclass application. You also must have obtained a minimum of one year of relevant work experience at the technologist level that can be validated by three references.
To register for a technical exam session, you will need to pay the $290.00 competency exam registration fee. Please contact Marian Parreno at mparreno@cttam.com to register for the competency exam.

As CTTAM is currently partnering with the Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET), you will be redirected to the ASET website to access the practice exams. Please follow the instructions provided on their website.
Since these practice exams are hosted by a third-party educational partner, you will need to create a new account to access them.
